This past weekend, the MHS Cheer Team partnered with Laurelwood Assisted Living for a heartwarming and successful community event—a free car wash for a cause. Held on-site at Laurelwood, the event welcomed cars of all kinds, with cheerleaders scrubbing, rinsing, and drying with energy and enthusiasm. In return, guests were encouraged to donate to two meaningful causes: Laurelwood’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s and MHS Cheer team incentives.

The turnout exceeded expectations, with dozens of community members stopping by not only to support the fundraiser but also to spend time chatting with the residents and young athletes. The collaboration fostered a unique opportunity for cheerleaders to connect across with residents, building empathy and community spirit through service. Most importantly, it brought people together around shared goals of kindness, teamwork, and giving back.
