The Miamisburg Vikings went on the road this past Friday and put up a gritty performance against Centerville, ultimately falling by a score of 17-7. In a game defined by physical defense and turnovers, both teams struggled to find offensive rhythm. Each squad turned the ball over twice, and neither side was able to pull away early. Centerville took a narrow 10-7 lead into halftime after a back-and-forth first half.

The second half continued the defensive slugfest, with neither team managing to score in the third quarter. Miamisburg's defense held strong, keeping the Elks in check and giving the Vikings multiple chances to even the score. However, Centerville extended its lead midway through the fourth quarter with a touchdown run from Parker Johnson, pushing the margin to 17-7. Despite the setback, Miamisburg refused to back down, battling through the final whistle in search of a comeback.

The Vikings will look to bounce back at home this Friday as they host Wayne for Senior Night. With pride on the line, Miamisburg will aim to channel Friday’s defensive intensity into a complete team performance in front of their home crowd.
