Over the past two weekends, 121 Ohio marching bands traveled to State Finals sites at Hilliard Bradley High School, Medina High School, and Piqua High School. State Finals are held under the authority of the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA), which sponsors a variety of events for student musicians throughout the school year. Bands qualify for State Finals by earning an overall Division I “Superior” rating at various local events across the state during the seven-week regular season.
Miamisburg qualified for State Finals by earning unanimous Superior ratings at both the Versailles and Ohio State events and traveled to Piqua High School on Sunday, November 2. The Vikings were one of only five bands to receive Superior ratings from all seven judges, marking their 17th consecutive State Superior. This concludes their 2025 season in the OMEA circuit.
Next, the Viking Band will travel to Mason High School to compete in the Class 5A division of the Mid-States Band Association Championships on Saturday, November 8. More information will be available on GoBurgAthletics.org later this week.
