This year, the Miamisburg Band Boosters will once again host the Mid-States Band Association (MSBA) Class 2A Championships. On Saturday, 21 bands from Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky will travel to Miamisburg to compete in what will be the final event of the season for many of these groups.

MSBA places bands in Class 2A if they have 30–44 playing members. All 21 bands will perform in a preliminary round, competing for a spot in the finals later that evening, as well as for caption awards like Best Music, Best Visual, Best Percussion, and more. The top 10 bands will advance to the Finals.

Some bands will travel quite a distance to be here. This year’s furthest traveling group is again Henderson County, who will travel over 270 miles to finish their season in Miamisburg!

Meanwhile, the Miamisburg Band will be traveling to Mason to compete in the Class 5A competition.

This event will be a major fundraiser for the Miamisburg Band Boosters, and we’re thrilled to be able to host and provide an unforgettable experience for our Class 2A guests!
