The Miamisburg Viking Marching Band traveled to Mason on Saturday, November 8, to compete in the Mid-States Band Association (MSBA) Class 5A Championships. The 5A classification includes bands with 90 or more musicians on the field, making it the smallest division in MSBA. The Vikings were one of six bands competing in this class.

Miamisburg earned a score of 83.7, placing 3rd overall and taking home the bronze medal. The Color Guard also captured the Best Color Guard caption award!

Next, the band will head to Bands of America Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium, where they’ll compete alongside 109 bands from 21 states.
