The Miamisburg Viking boys bowling team earned a strong runner-up finish at The Ironclad tournament at Highland Lanes in Hillsboro. The Vikings posted a 10-game Baker total of 1,929 (a 192.9 average) during qualifying, placing second—just 10 pins behind eventual champion Western Brown.

In the best-of-three semifinal, Miamisburg defeated Washington Court House with games of 210 and 245. The Vikings opened the championship match against Western Brown with a narrow 201–200 win, but dropped the next two games, securing a second-place finish in a field of 10 teams.

Miamisburg returns to action Monday at 6:00 p.m. against the Springfield Wildcats.
