The Miamisburg Lady Vikings earned an impressive conference win on Monday night, knocking off previously undefeated Centerville 2181–1863 to move to 4–1 on the season.
Miamisburg jumped out early with an 888–702 win in the opening game and continued to control the match in game two with a 961–837 performance. Holding a comfortable lead entering Baker play, the Vikings stayed focused and closed out the night with a 332 Baker series to secure the win.
Freshman Brooklyn Barnett led all bowlers, posting the high game and high series with scores of 211 and 239 for a 450 total. Junior Nevaeh Chapman also delivered a strong two-game series of 379, providing steady production.
Sophomore Madi Gordon was also outstanding in setting her career high game in competition and series total with games of 204 and 184 for a 388 series. Her breakthrough performance helped keep pressure on Centerville throughout the match.
This was a complete team effort as all seven girls contributed solid games against a quality opponent and demonstrated the Lady Vikings’ depth, consistency, and growing confidence as the season continues.
The JV Girls also mounted an exciting come from behind win over Valley View winning the last baker game by 73 to pull out a 1312-1258 victory.
Both teams will be back in action Friday at 4 pm when they host Northmont at Poelking South.
