The Centerville boys bowling team edged the Miamisburg Vikings in a high-scoring contest, winning 2800–2718 on Tuesday.
Centerville took the opening two regular games, posting scores of 1217 to Miamisburg’s 1194 in Game 1, and 1122 to 1039 in Game 2. The Vikings mounted a late push during the Baker games, rolling strong scores of 217 and 268, but ultimately came up short.
Sophomore Zach Masters led all bowlers with outstanding games of 242 and 244. Junior James Chapman followed with solid performances of 236 and 213.
In Junior Varsity action, the Vikings narrowly fell to Centerville, 1800–1782. Sophomore Gavan Towery paced Miamisburg with games of 182 and 168.
The Vikings return to action on Friday at 4:00 p.m. against Northmont at Poelking Lanes South.
