The Lady Vikings bowling team placed fifth out of 32 teams at the Back to School Bash on Saturday. Miamisburg competed against 31 other schools and delivered a strong performance throughout the day.
In the qualifying rounds, the Lady Vikings finished third overall, trailing only Mercy McCauley and Notre Dame.
During Baker match play, the girls defeated Turpin 2–0 in the Round of 32 and followed with another 2–0 victory over Mason in the Round of 16. Their tournament run ended with a 0–2 loss to Seton, securing a fifth-place finish overall.
The team was led by junior Nevaeh Chapman, who rolled games of 171 and 179 to finish sixth overall individually.
Looking ahead, the JV girls will compete against Valley View on Monday. The varsity squad returns to action on the road Wednesday, January 7, against Fairmont at Poelking Woodman, with the match scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
