The Miamisburg Lady Vikings delivered an outstanding performance Saturday at the Viking Classic, finishing 2nd overall out of 16 teams in a highly competitive girls field while bowling on the challenging District tournament pattern.

The varsity girls were strong from the start, placing 2nd in qualifying and then extending their advantage during the baker games to lock in the runner-up finish. The team posted a 2326 three-game total and followed it with 936 baker pins for a 3262 overall score, showing both consistency and depth throughout the day on a demanding lane condition.

Individually, Nevaeh Chapman led the Lady Vikings with a 492 series (157-169-166), finishing 8th overall and earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Madilyn Zinn followed closely in 10th place with a 477 series, and Brooklyn Barnett placed 14th overall at 467. Riley Blom closed strong with a big third game and was on pace for an All-Tournament finish had all three games been bowled.

The performance was a true team effort, with every athlete contributing meaningful frames and maintaining composure as the lanes transitioned.

The JV Lady Vikings also had a strong showing, finishing 15th overall as a team and ending the tournament ahead of a varsity squad in the final standings. Ella Kessel led the JV group with a 447 series, placing 25th overall, while Sammy Hanson added a 394 series. The JV group gained valuable experience and confidence competing in a deep field on a tough pattern.

Overall, it was an excellent day for the Miamisburg girls program, with both varsity and JV competing hard, supporting one another, and representing the school with pride.

The Lady Vikings return to action Monday at 4:00 pm when they travel to Rollhouse Dayton to face Wayne.
