Maya Albrecht, a second grader at Bauer Elementary, made Miamisburg history last night at the girls varsity basketball game by sinking the halftime shot and winning $300. The shot was sponsored by the Hamburger Wagon.

Maya is the first participant to make the halftime shot this season—and the youngest ever to do so. Her impressive moment drew cheers from the crowd and added excitement to the evening.

This afternoon, Superintendent Stacy Maney, along with members of the athletic department staff, visited Bauer Elementary to recognize Maya’s achievement. She was presented with a certificate of achievement in celebration of her big shot.
