The Miamisburg Vikings dropped a close home match to Springboro, 2,405–2,508, on Faculty Appreciation Night.
Miamisburg came out strong in Game 1, rolling a 1,018 to Springboro’s 979. The Panthers responded in Game 2, edging the Vikings 1,027–1,024 to even the match. Springboro then took control in Baker play, posting games of 262 and 240, while the Vikings rolled 179 and 184 to decide the contest.
Junior Drew Parker led all bowlers with outstanding games of 247 and 243. Fellow junior Grant Drusen followed with strong efforts of 233 and 213.
The Vikings return to action Saturday at the Sweet 16 Tournament at Poelking Lanes South.
JV Vikings Earn Big Win
The Miamisburg JV boys picked up an impressive victory over Springboro, winning 2,034–1,702 for their highest team total of the season. James Flanagan led the way with a 215 game and a personal-best 399 series. Gavin Towery also turned in a standout performance, rolling a season-high 217 game and a personal-best 373 series. A balanced team effort helped the JV Vikings secure the win.
