Varsity Girls bowling delivered their most complete performance of the season on Thursday, rolling past rival Springboro 2210–1892 to improve to 7–3 on the year. The match also served as Faculty Appreciation Night, as the program took time to recognize and thank Miamisburg’s educators for everything they do to support students on and off the lanes.
Miamisburg set the tone immediately, taking the opening game 986–804, followed by a commanding 906–768 win in game two. With a comfortable cushion, the Lady Vikings controlled both baker games and never allowed Springboro back into contention. The final tally marked Miamisburg’s highest team total of the season.
Freshman Madilyn Zinn led the charge with an outstanding 226, 214 for 440, a performance that now ranks 4th all-time for a freshman at Miamisburg. Fellow freshman Brooklyn Barnett added the high game of the match with a 235 and finished with 405 for her two games. Junior Nevaeh Chapman continued her steady season with 212, 168 for 380, while seniors Riley Blom (184, 169) and Austin Brewer, who posted a strong 185 in her lone game, rounded out a balanced lineup effort.
The Lady Vikings now turn their attention quickly as they head to Poelking South tomorrow for the Sweet 16 Invitational, carrying momentum and confidence after a statement win.
