The Lady Vikings had a GWOC battle vs Wayne at home Saturday afternoon!

From the jump Burg brought the energy & confidence, handling Waynes pressure. Breaking the press early helped Burg make the Lady Warriors adjust. End of first quarter score was 6-10.

Coming out in the second quarter Wayne started connecting from the 3 & put up 19 points in the half. Burg was getting good looks, but shots weren’t falling to match. At the half Burg trailed 12-29.

Second half Burg started executing some great offense & things started flowing! Scoring 16 points in the 3rd. Wayne was able to match it. Burg still trailed 28-46.

4th quarter the Lady Viks continued to flow on offense & handled Wayne’s continued pressure. Battling until the end. Final score was 42-65.

Such a great battle with a top GWOC team. Great team effort by everyone!

Scoring led by Junior Mia Willis with 11 points, followed by Sophomore Jordyn Mumpower with 10 points, Freshman Katie Willis & Maya Pinto each added 7 points, Senior Addi Leber chipped in 4 points & Senior Brooklynn Sikes added 3 points!

Next matchup for the Lady Vikings is Saturday 1/24 AT Springboro for another round 2 GWOC matchup!
