We took our group of freshmen to Centerville High School to compete in the Buckeye Classic Freshman Tournament, featuring teams from Cincinnati all the way up to Cleveland and everywhere in between. Out of 23 teams, our Vikings were crowned team champions with 145 team points. What makes this even more impressive was we only took 11 total freshmen in which only 8 wrestlers were point scorers, we were also without two of our best freshmen!

This was a tremendous effort and achievement by our freshman squad. Bringing home a team championship at an event of this size speaks volumes about their work ethic, toughness, and commitment. The future of our program is extremely bright.

The team finished with 7 placers and 2 individual champions.

Individual Results:

Branson Malott – 4-0, 2 pins, Champion
Liam Kratzer – 4-0, 4 pins, Champion
