The Miamisburg Varsity Girls Bowling Team finished fifth out of 15 teams at Saturday’s Sweet 16 Invitational held at Poelking South Lanes. The Lady Vikings qualified fourth in the opening round, putting themselves in position for a deep run in a strong field.
In the opening elimination match, Miamisburg took care of business with a 442–415 victory over Sidney. The run ended in the quarterfinals with a narrow 471–457 loss to Bryan in a tightly contested match that came down to the final frames.
Individually, junior Nevaeh Chapman delivered a standout performance, finishing fourth overall. Chapman was powered by a tournament-best game of 233, setting the tone for the Vikings’ day. Freshman Brooklyn Barnett finished 23rd, while senior Riley Blom placed 27th, both contributing solid efforts in a competitive individual field.
The Lady Vikings will be back in action next Saturday when they travel to Park Lanes to compete in the Muskingum University Invitational.
