The Miamisburg girls bowling team closed out GWOC play Wednesday with a strong 2,192 to 1,477 victory over Springfield, finishing the conference season with an 11-3 record and earning second place.
The Lady Vikings took control early with regular game totals of 927 and 895, then added Baker games of 188 and 182 to complete the win. Consistent spare shooting and steady frame management allowed Miamisburg to maintain pressure throughout the match.
Junior Nevaeh Chapman led the team with games of 183 and 234 for a match high 417 series, highlighted by an outstanding second game. Senior Riley Blom set the tone early with a strong 227 and finished with a 397 series, providing veteran leadership and stability in the lineup.
Another key performance came from Senior Austin Brewer, who rolled games of 174 and 176 for a 350 series. The total marks the highest two game series of her career and reflects the continued growth and depth of the Miamisburg lineup as the postseason approaches.
With conference play complete and second place secured, the Lady Vikings now turn their attention to their regular season finale. Miamisburg will host Tippecanoe on Friday at 4 PM at Poelking South, where the program will celebrate Senior Night and honor its graduating athletes.
