State Bound!
What a special day for Miamisburg Girls Bowling. Our team has qualified for the State Tournament as one of the top 16 teams in Ohio.
This program began a rebuild just one year ago, and while we are still climbing, this group’s hard work, commitment, and belief made this moment possible. It is an honor to represent Miamisburg at the State level.
Districts is one of the toughest tournaments of the year. Twenty four strong teams compete, and only five advance. We earned the final qualifying spot by just 10 pins. Every bowler knows that is one spare, one break, one shot. We are grateful and proud to be moving on.
Congratulations to Southwest District Champion Beavercreek, along with Northmont, Bellefontaine, and Oak Hills on qualifying. The strength of our conference continues to show, with three GWOC teams advancing to State.
Our day started slow and we found ourselves digging out of a hole early. The girls battled back in Game 3 to get within reach, then climbed into position during Bakers. The final games were tight, but they stayed composed and did just enough to secure the fifth and final spot.
This team is special and we are proud to represent Miamisburg.
Next stop: State. State will take place next Saturday at HP Lanes in Columbus.
