The Miamisburg Vikings lost to Troy 64 - 49 in the second round of the OHSAA Tournament. Miamisburg led at the end of the first quarter 9 - 8 after a Kellen Toadvine layup at the buzzer. The Vikings trailed 25 - 20 at halftime. The third quarter was the difference in the game as Troy started the quarter on an 11 - 0 run to pull ahead 36 - 20. Gavin Sudimack was the lone Viking to score in the quarter with 6 points but Troy pulled ahead to a 44 - 26 lead. Troy nailed free throws in the fourth and back to back three's by Ayden Alford weren't enough to mount a comeback and Troy prevailed 64 - 49. The game marked the end of eight Viking senior careers: Ayden Alford, Alex Andeeron, Corey Brightwell, Rorice Iratwumva, Chrys Ngoh, Aaron Shock, Nolan Taulbee, and Kellen Toadvine. Their dedication to the program was outstanding as each player completed a four-year basketball career. Thank you to everyone that supported the team this season.
