Miamisburg Indoor Groups Continue Excellent Seasons

The Miamisburg Indoor groups, consisting of our color guards and Winds programs, have continued their excellent seasons to both local and regional acclaim. As these programs near the end of their regular seasons, their hard work and dedication continue to shine on the floor.

The ELEMENTARY COLOR GUARD has maintained an incredible streak, placing in the top two at every contest they have attended this year. At the MEPA Butler event on 2/21, the color guard tied for 2nd place with a score of 84.6. They followed that up at Centerville's MEPA event on 3/8, where they placed 1st with a score improvement to 87.00. Elementary's final regular season show will be Saturday, 3/21, at MEPA Hamilton, where they take the floor at 12:48pm.

MIAMISBURG A GUARD has been extremely competitive this season, especially as a group consisting of middle school students competing in a high school class. At MEPA Butler, A Guard placed 2nd in Scholastic Regional A in a field of 9 entries with a score of 73.72. The MEPA Centerville event saw them take 3rd place out of 7 with an impressive improvement of nearly 5 points. A Guard will join other members of the Miamisburg indoor family at MEPA Hamilton on 3/21 and performs at 5:20pm.

MIAMISBURG WINDS has continued a banner season in Winds Scholastic Open. The group became Dayton Regional Champions on Saturday, 2/28, scoring 1st place as the sole entry in WSO with a prelims score of 80.55 and a finals score of 79.3. At MEPA Fairborn on 3/7, Winds earned 1st by default with a score of 80.45. Winds will also join the rest of the Miamisburg groups at Hamilton on Saturday 3/21 and performs at 11:30am.

MIAMISBURG WORLD GUARD has continued their incredible legacy in Scholastic World. At the WGI Indianapolis Color Guard Regional, the Burg placed 5th out of 12 in the World class among other powerhouse programs with a prelims score of 77, eventually improving their score to 78.6 while maintaining their 5th place rank. At the MEPA Fairborn event on 3/7, Burg World placed 1st out of 2 with a score of 81.3. This past weekend at the WGI Avon Regional, the guard placed 4th out of 12 with a prelims score of 86.9 and a finals score of 87.7.

The entire Miamisburg Indoor Family would like to invite the community to their FRIENDS AND FAMILY NIGHT on Friday, 3/27, starting at 6pm in the MHS Gym. All four Burg groups will perform and will be joined by special guests including The Miami Valley Adaptive Color Guard, Homage Independent, and Valhalla Winds. Admission is free, and we hope to see you there!
