On Saturday 4/18, Vikings Boys Lacrosse hosted the Anderson Raptors for the annual charity game which supports local organizations to benefit those who need an extra hand. This year's game benefitted adults with disabilities. Proceeds from raffle boxes, food truck profits and other activities went directly back to a good cause. Although the game did not end in favor of the Vikings, this matchup was greater than a win or a loss. Captain Landon Kresge returned from injury and kept the intensity high against an Anderson team who has 15 seniors on their roster. Offensive production increased as a result of the intensity level with 6 on the board against a seasoned Raptors defense and goalkeeper. Freshman Lincoln Bell had a breakout game adding a hat trick to his season stats as well as senior captain Tanner Vongsy adding another goal to his impressive stat line. Defensively, the Vikings struggled to clear the ball back to the offensive side of the field, allowing for the continued production from the Raptors offense. The Boys lacrosse team continues to grow and learn through a tough early season and hope to be successful on the road for their next conference matchup against the Thunderbolts of Northmont on Wednesday 4/22.
