Miamisburg softball faced a tough slate of opponents this week, and while the results didn’t fall in the Vikings’ favor, the team continued to show effort, character, and moments worth recognizing. Leadership in the circle, steady at-bats, defensive hustle, and strong sportsmanship were evident throughout the week.

Rhianna Pigman provided stability and leadership, including a standout moment when she launched her first home run of the season. Across the field, players stepped into their roles with commitment and energy. Shyanne Johnson brought confidence and positivity each game and received encouraging news about contributing defensively. Jaelyn Wade remained reliable on both sides of the ball, while Ahbri Lynch took on innings in the circle with confidence and readiness.

Several players delivered meaningful contributions that lifted the team. Corrine Jennings earned her first hit, a well-deserved milestone. Olivia Siney continued to be a true utility player, highlighted by a strong play tracking down a deep ball to the fence. Eva Douglas brought fun, energy, and steady effort every time she stepped on the field. Natalie Hemberger stayed consistent at the plate, giving the team scoring opportunities in each game. Maya McPherson provided maximum effort in all facets of the game, always leading with a smile. Noor Khasawneh embraced her slapper role offensively and gave solid effort in the outfield.

Through all the challenges, the Vikings displayed sportsmanship that made their coaches proud. Their respect for opponents, officials, and the game stood out, even in a difficult week. While the scoreboard didn’t reflect the effort, the individual moments of leadership, hustle, and heart remain meaningful highlights for this team.
