The MMS Track and Field team turned in an outstanding performance at the State Championships held Saturday at Hilliard Darby High School, bringing home multiple top finishes against some of the best competition in the state.

Leading the way was the boys 4x200-meter relay team of Brayden Search (8th), Ronnie Covington (7th), Gerome Parker (8th), and Robert Moss (8th), who captured the state championship with a 1st-place finish.

The 4x100-meter relay team also earned a spot on the podium, placing 5th overall. Team members included Brayden Search (8th), Ronnie Covington (7th), Kohen Shock (8th), and Robert Moss (8th).

Individually, Ronnie Covington had an impressive day by earning 3rd place in the 400-meter dash as a 7th grader, while Robert Moss finished 4th in the 200-meter dash. Blake Lotspaih (8th) also represented the team well in the 200-meter hurdles, finishing 10th overall.
