The 2026 Miamisburg Softball season brought fresh energy to a program focused on rebuilding and moving forward. With a mix of returning players and new varsity contributors, the Vikings worked to strengthen communication, effort, and pride in representing their school. Competing in the Greater Western Ohio Conference — one of the most competitive leagues in the area — gave the team valuable experience and a clear picture of the standard they are working toward.

Defensively, the group made steady strides as infielders improved their communication and timing, and outfielders developed stronger reads and coverage. The pitching staff provided leadership and stability, helping anchor the team throughout the year. Offensively, the focus remained on putting the ball in play, understanding situations, and creating opportunities through consistent execution.

Key position groups played an important role in the team’s progress. Pitchers showed composure, infielders grew more reliable with their glove work, and outfielders continued to improve their reads and coverage. Several players stepped up with dependable effort that helped set the tone for the team.

The coaching staff is proud of the growth shown by the players who consistently brought effort, leadership, and a team-first mindset. The program also strengthened its connection to the community this season. We were excited to work with the Miamisburg Baseball Softball League (MBSL), building stronger ties with youth athletes and helping create a clearer pathway into the high school program. In addition, the return of Alumni to support and invest in the program added a meaningful boost, reinforcing tradition and helping guide the next generation of Vikings.

With returning experience, rising underclassmen, and a clearer sense of identity, the Vikings are positioned to take a strong step forward in 2027. The foundation is set, and the momentum is building. #StrongerTogether
