Last week the boys golf team had 2 days of tryouts. We played 18 holes each day. The total number of players that came out for tryouts this year was 18. The Varsity and JV teams play with six players and count 4 scores for tournaments and matches. The team has 14 players on it between Varsity and JV. We played our first varsity tournament last friday at Hueston Woods near Oxford. This was a very tough course for an opening tournament but the boys dis well against a field of very good teams. We finished 16th out of 28 teams. The team was lead by Monroe Shoemaker with a 79 and 2 other players shot 87. Brandt Toole and Kayden Reboulet. We have a lot of work to do this year but we are off to a good start.
