Monroe Shoemaker

He has stepped up his game as a sophomore on the varsity team playing in our #1 spot. This is usually a tough position to be in because you are always playing with the best players in the area but this has not phased Monroe. Everyone he plays with enjoys playing in his group. He will become a real special player over the next few years.

Mia Miller

Mia’s sportsmanship, leadership, work ethic and positive attitude make a coach’s job easy. This is Mia’s second season on the golf team and she has been working very hard on all facets of her game which is inspiring the younger players on the team to work hard as well. Mia always encourages her teammates and opponents after any shot, good or bad. During the Miamisburg Invitational last week a golfer from Carroll made a 20’ putt and Mia exclaimed “yes, nice putt” and high fived the girl. The Carroll player was a little stunned by Mia’s reaction but enthusiastically high fived her back, like they had been golf buddies for years.
