The boys varsity team ended the season with the GWOC and Sectionals tournament. Both were played under very difficult conditions. Gwoc was the last tournament played where the boys 6th out of 8 teams, but were only 2 shots from 5th place. 5th place would have been about the best finish possible for the year based on other very good teams in the top 4 of the gwoc. The top individual score for miamisburg was Carter Stolle with an 84. Carter was one shot away from making the second team all GWOC.
The varsity team gained a lot of experience this year as a young team so next year is looking good to come back with all juniors and seniors leading the team.
Our JV team was almost all players that were new to any kind of competitive golf. They all did very well this year trying to gain the experience needed and learning the game of golf in general. Everything is also looking good on the JV team for next year to see what these players are capable of accomplishing.
We also just had our second annual end of season event where the high school boys play a fun event with the Middle school team led by coach Todd Engle. He has done well with this program and has some good potential moving up to the high school next year.
