The Boys Varsity Bowling team traveled to Columbus on November 22nd to compete in the highly regarded Kick Off Tournament at HP Lanes, an event that brought together 28 of the top programs from across Ohio. With such a strong field, every frame mattered, and the Vikings rose to the challenge early.
Across three regular team games and two Baker-style games, Miamisburg put together one of their most complete early-season performances, finishing the qualifying round in second place—trailing only the powerhouse program from Elder. Their strong showing earned them a spot in the championship bracket and set the stage for a tightly contested first-round matchup.
In single-elimination match play, the Vikings faced Mason in a three-game total-pin format. The battle remained close throughout, but despite a determined effort, Miamisburg came up just short, falling 469–477. Their overall performance secured a 9th-place finish in one of the most competitive tournaments on the schedule.
Individually, junior Andrew Parker delivered an outstanding performance, rolling games of 213, 259, and 216 for an impressive 688 series. His effort earned him a fourth-place individual finish out of 140 competitors and a well-deserved spot on the All-Tournament Team. Junior James Chapman III also bowled consistently, adding strong games of 204, 213, and 213 to help keep the Vikings near the top of the standings through qualifying.
The Vikings will return to the lanes after the Thanksgiving Break, looking to build on the momentum gained from a strong showing against the state’s best.
