The Miamisburg boys bowling team dropped a league match to Centerville on Wednesday, despite strong individual performances and a solid showing in Baker play.
In traditional Game 1, Miamisburg posted a team score of 1,042, but Centerville edged ahead with 1,104. The Vikings were led by junior Grant Drusen, who rolled a match-high 245.
Game 2 saw Miamisburg improve to 1,056, but Centerville responded with 1,171. James Chapman paced the Vikings in the second game with a 231.
Miamisburg bounced back in Baker competition, winning both games. The Vikings took Baker Game 1, 239–191, and followed with a 220–169 advantage in Game 2.
Drusen led Miamisburg overall with games of 245 and 228 for a 473 two-game series. Chapman also had a strong night, rolling games of 203 and 231.
With the loss, the Vikings move to 6–5 on the season. The Varsity boys will be back in action on Saturday in Columbus at Holiday Lanes for the Kilbourne Wolves Post Season Prep
The Miamisburg junior varsity boys bowling team dropped their match today against Centerville at Poelking South, falling by a final score of 2,166–1,905.
The Vikings were led by senior Dominic Meyer, who rolled games of 189 and 157 for a 346 series. Landen Caldwell continued his steady play with a 332 series, while Ty Back added a solid 330 series to round out the scoring leaders.
The team looks to bounce back on Monday when they take on Dayton Christian at Poelking South.
