The Miamisburg girls bowling team closed out its regular season Friday night with a 2,161 to 1,789 victory over Tippecanoe at Poelking South, capping an emotional Senior Night that celebrated the contributions of Riley Blom and Austin Brewer.
The evening was about more than just the final score. The Lady Vikings honored two seniors who have played a major role in the program’s rise, and their teammates responded with a performance that reflected the close bond this group has built throughout the season.
Austin Brewer delivered a memorable moment, surpassing the personal two game best she had set just days earlier. Brewer rolled games of 180 and 182 for a 362 series, providing a strong spark on a night dedicated to her and Blom. Both seniors have been instrumental in the team’s growth and culture, and their impact has been central to the program’s turnaround over the past couple seasons.
On the lanes, junior Nevaeh Chapman led all bowlers with a dominant 437 series, firing games of 235 and 202. Freshman Madilyn Zinn added a 202 in her lone game, continuing her steady production.
Beyond the numbers, the most striking part of the night was the team’s energy and unity. The Vikings competed with clear purpose, feeding off the emotion of the moment and rallying around their seniors in a performance that reflected how tightly connected the group has become.
With the win, Miamisburg finishes the regular season at 12-3.
The Lady Vikings will have little time to slow down. They head to Columbus on Saturday for the Tiger Post Season Tuneup at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl, their final event before postseason play begins with Sectionals next Thursday.
